As a longtime fan of the UNCHARTED series, I was eagerly awaiting the release of the Legacy of Thieves Collection for PlayStation 5. And let me tell you, it did not disappoint!
The collection includes two of the most beloved UNCHARTED games: UNCHARTED 4: A Thief’s End and UNCHARTED: The Lost Legacy. And with the enhanced graphics and gameplay capabilities of the PlayStation 5, these already incredible games feel like a completely new and immersive experience.
From the stunning landscapes to the intricate details of the characters and weapons, the visual upgrade is truly remarkable. But what really sets the Legacy of Thieves Collection apart is the storytelling. Both games have captivating narratives that keep you hooked from beginning to end, with complex characters, unexpected twists, and epic action sequences.
And let’s not forget the gameplay. Whether you’re solving puzzles, engaging in intense combat, or traversing treacherous terrain, every moment in these games is thrilling and satisfying. The controls feel smooth and intuitive, and the variety of challenges keeps things fresh and exciting.
Overall, the UNCHARTED: Legacy of Thieves Collection is a must-have for any PlayStation 5 owner and UNCHARTED fan. It’s an epic adventure that combines stunning visuals, immersive storytelling, and thrilling gameplay. So grab your controller and get ready to embark on a journey you won’t soon forget!

I would like to preface this review by saying that I played both Uncharted 4 and Lost Legacy on PS4 when they were released. I have always been a fan of the series and the studio Naughty Dog’s work. I thoroughly enjoyed both games at the time, but have since obtained a PS5 and with this release thought it would be fun to have another playthrough with improved visuals and performance.
Once inserted into the PS5, the disk was partly installed and ready to play Uncharted 4 within about 15 minutes. If you launch the game, it will install the remainder in the background, which is nice. No super long download to wait for.
As I started Uncharted 4, things felt immediately familiar, and honestly, looked similar as well. To be fair, Uncharted 4 was a beautiful PS4 game. On PS5, it looks its best to be sure, but still more or less looks like it did a few years ago. That being said, it runs much, much better. I played on the Performance mode, which targets 60 fps. The action is smooth and snappy, and felt much better than it did on PS4. This honestly took some getting used to as these games always felt a little sluggish last gen. The game also loads nearly instantaneously, no sitting around staring at loading screens and the clarity on screen stretches much further (draw distance). You can also play at 120fps if you so desire which will make things even more fluid, but 60 is plenty in my opinion for a narrative game like this.
Similar experience with Lost Legacy. The game still looks fantastic, but not significantly different than before aside from improved sharpness and draw. Runs perfectly.
So I realize I’m not really reviewing the games themselves, but more of the PS5 upgrades. These are last gen games that have been reviewed hundreds of times already, and the vast majority of those reviews are positive. Is this collection worth the $50? A little hard to say. You can buy the PS4 version of either game for $10-$20 and pay Sony another $10 to get a digital upgrade to this collection. Or just play the last gen version and you’ll save a few bucks and still experience great games.
I would give these 2 games themselves 5/5 with no hesitation, but I am going to give this collection a 4/5 due to value. Is this the best way to play these 2 games on PS5? Absolutely. However you can play Uncharted 4 on PS5 for free if you have PS+, or upgrade your last gen version for $10. When this collection inevitably goes on sale for $30 or less the value proposition will be much higher.

So in 2016 I played and beat Uncharted 4 “A Thief’s End.” Have not played this game in about 5 years. So getting to replay it on The PS5 in 4K HDR is Amazing. Playability is smooth and runs great. For 36$ it’s Well Worth The Price…
