I played this game as a child in school and absolutely loved it so when I saw they made it for the switch I bought it. Is it the most exciting game I’ve ever played? No, but I enjoyed it part and partial because of nostalgia so if you liked the game as a child, you’ll like it as an adult. My 12 yo kid, however thought it was boring which I mean it kind of is but I still enjoyed it!!

Old school throw back and so much fun with better graphics!

  3. MJP

This game brings back great memories of playing as a kid but adds fun new features that make repeated play worth it. My kids LOVE the options for gravestones, hunting is still super fun (but why doesn’t a buffalo get you 200lbs of meat anymore???), and fishing is a cool new addition. There are also cool mini games to play that can unlock elements of the main gameplay. Very enjoyable

Nostalgia update. Lots of new detail and fun and challenging to play.

    Boring game

  6. W

The kids, ages 7-12, had fun with this game.

Bought this for my husband and I to play on the Switch. It was fun to play and reminisce. My daughter ended up loving it as well and plays more than we do. It was fun to introduce her to a game we loved as children.

This game is super nostalgic for my husband and myself! I had to pry myself away from it after playing it every night after work for hours!
It’s just like the original game, but with better graphics and added upgrades! For your party, you add 4 people. You can use the names given to them or edit to your liking. For each person, they have different personalities so choose wisely. You can buy a wagon kit or customize your own for the amount of money you start out with. There are many stops and options along the way to each fort. You can hunt and fish (my favorite)! There are challenges and quests along your journey. It’s definitely a memory/thinking game. The further you go, the harder it gets! I absolutely love this game and can’t wait for the colder months when we’re inside all the time so my family and I can play more! Definitely worth it and a must buy!!!

I bought this with much excitement, but I’m not an online gamer, nor a person who likes to create online accounts. (More annoying emails than I need or care for.)
This game forces you to place an online Nintendo account and will not start up unless you have a Nintendo account. I do not have one, nor do I want to create one. So, it wont even open up to the menu screen of the game.

If you’re like me, dont waste your money. Every other game I’ve bought so far allows you to plug and play immediately after the game downloads.

Super disappointed cause the game looked like it might be fun.

    Fun game.

Fun game, is kind of short easy to beat. It brings back the nostalgia from the original. It’s a fun game but it was shorter than I was thinking had other elements to it. It was a decent price. It came with the disk, some cards that show the old version vs the new, and some download codes

I like this game for the 90’s nostalgia. If your expecting a modern warfare experience this is not the game for you. If you are looking for that early floppy disk computer room grade 4 experience….look no further. The graphics have definitely been upgraded, but the old world threat is still there.

Even though this is a 1 player game, when you change the character names to those in your family, everyone gathers around to play, making decisions together to see what happens next, laugh at the sibling with dysentry, or hopping around after a successful hunt.
As basic as the game is, it is rather addicting and great fun.
