The games were good screen size does matter. It would’ve been so much more enjoyable with a bigger screen. Up.\n To a 5 inch.\n From now on, whenever I buy a hand held device, it’s not gonna be something small screen size. Tired of squinting

The only other retro console I’ve owned is the bitboy, and this RG28 makes it feel so cheap! The weight and build quality is fantastic, and the buttons all feel just right and are exactly as responsive as you would want. The screen is sharp and the glass over it is premium. It boots up quickly and has games pre-loaded, which is a huge plus for me. I downloaded an N64 rom (Mario, duh), and added it to the N64 folder and was able to then access the N64 emulator (it didn’t show in the menu since there were no games pre-loaded). It ran so smoothly. I have small hands and the console still felt a bit small, especially when trying to access the top triggers, but this makes for an extremely portable device. Can’t really have both, can ya? The battery life has been amazing. I haven’t tried the HDMI output yet, and the rumor is that it has wifi, but I’ve also not explored this option yet. Can’t wait to play around with this more.

I know incredibly little about emulators, but even I could add Homebrew ROMS, e-books and video files. I just followed the simple directions on the Anbernic website. Seems to be good quality. Easy expansion by micros SD card, and easy to format the card.
I didn’t want to drop it into a pocket unprotected, and the suggested cases were way too big so I found exactly what I wanted elsewhere on Amazon – a Black Neoprene Zipper Carrying Protection Sleeve Case Pouch Cover Compatible with Microsoft Arc Touch Mouse. It was cheap and fits PERFECTLY! I think Cosmos missed a marketing opportunity by not stating it can fit the RG28XX. I have no connection with either company, am not being compensated in any way for either product, but thought that I might be able to help someone out who had the same need I did by mentioning the neoprene pouch.

Not a good purchase. Wouldn’t turn on even after charging it for a good amount of time. Definitely regret purchasing this product. Would not recommend!

I have a miyoo mini plus but wanted something smaller and with a horizontal form-factor. This not only fit those specs, but it also has WAY nore power which let’s me run more demanding things like all PS1 games, some dreamcast games (the ones that work, run at full speed), and some n64 games (mario 64 runs perfectly, similar games should perform just as well).

It comes with alot of games and a good OS out of the box if you want to give it to someone but if you are good with moving files around, check out Knulli and make your experience alot smoother

    I love this thing

I bought this as a Christmas gift for myself since I’m into old games, particularly pokemon, and I am honestly impressed. It runs smooth, supports many console emulators and comes pre-loaded with a lot of games. Nothing “Mario” is included but you can add the ROMs yourself into the SD card via a computer. Overall, I love I how small it is, making it the perfect gaming companion for on the go. I prefer this over emulator apps for the phone because there’s less chance to be distracted by other things on the phone and the buttons and d-pad make it feel more authentic. I do recommend this for everyone looking to get a good retro console for a great deal, the value for the price is incredible and honestly I would have been willing to pay more now, knowing how powerful this little thing is. I’ve only used it for a day and a half and had to charge it 1 time so the battery is pretty good. There was only 1 game I tried playing that didn’t open but that’s ok… there are so many other games to choose from. It is small so keep that in mind if you have bigger hands, I have small hands so it’s perfect for me. The little speaker is great too. This is my 1st retro console so I don’t really have much to compare it to aside from emulator phone apps, but it does run better than the phone apps and the graphics are a lot smoother than expected!

Works great as a mini game system- after using a while it is uncomfortable to play for extended periods, but that’s to be expected for such a small device. It has many features of larger devices and the screen seems more detailed even though it is smaller. Build feels solid and more expensive than this unit cost.

I have only had it for a day but so far is is working really really well I love how small it os so it can easily fit inside of my pocket it’s my second emulation device besides my miyoo mini+ I will say I advise you to install a custom os to the device I used MUOS it’s pretty straightforward to flash the os to a new sd card on windows or Ubuntu I myself used Ubuntu I advise upgrading the os th stock os is fine and you could technically transfer it over to another sd card I just thought the os was bland and wanted more personalized os it’s fun to play and the battery seems to last quite a while you will need 2 sd cards if you plan to get custom formware sd card for slot one for your os sd card for slot 2 for all your roms it’s emulated all gba roms ive thrown at it fantastic and the screen for being so small looks really crisp I hope it handles n64 and ps1 just as well as gba but for $30 it’s a very solid pocket friendly device but I advise you have a little computer knowledge for setting it up for your own so you get the most out of the device YouTube has a lot of really helpful tutorials I recommend it:) it’s a good device for when I’m on the go and don’t want to take my miyoo
