I researched these retro consoles for way too long and in an eenie meenie minie mo I grabbed this because it was cheep and I was betting it had the 80s/90s games I remember from when I was a kid. It has way more than I expected, the build feels solid, everything works, it’s pretty easy to navigate the menus and the screen is really clear and bright. Highly recommend for 80s and 90s kids!

The R36T is an amazing little retro console! With over 18,000 classic games preloaded, there’s always something fun to play. The 4.0-inch IPS screen looks sharp and vibrant, and the portable size makes it perfect for gaming on the go.
The Linux system runs smoothly, with quick loading and easy navigation. The controls feel responsive, and the battery lasts long enough for extended play sessions. I also love that it supports so many different consoles all in one device it’s like carrying a mini arcade in your pocket!
Overall, this is a fantastic handheld for retro gaming fans. Great value, solid build, and tons of nostalgia in one package. Highly recommended!

The R36T Retro Gaming Console is an absolute treat for anyone who grew up with classic games or wants to relive the golden era of gaming. With its 3.5” IPS screen designed with a CRT-inspired look, it delivers sharp visuals while keeping that nostalgic vibe alive. The display is bright, clear, and perfect for handheld play, whether indoors or outdoors.
What makes this console truly special is the preloaded library of 18,000+ classic games. From iconic arcade titles to beloved console hits, there’s endless variety to explore. The performance is smooth, and I experienced no noticeable lag even during fast-paced action games. The fact that it also supports WiFi for networked fighting games adds a fun multiplayer dimension, and the OTG support means I can expand functionality with ease.
Battery life is excellent thanks to the 3500mAh rechargeable battery. It lasts several hours on a single charge, which is more than enough for long gaming sessions or travel. Plus, the included portable case is a thoughtful addition, making it easy to carry around safely without worrying about scratches or damage.
The design is lightweight and comfortable to hold, with intuitive controls that feel natural even after extended play. The black finish with 64GB of storage ensures plenty of space for games and saves, and the build quality feels solid and durable.
Overall, the R36T is fun, practical, and packed with nostalgia. It combines a huge game library, modern connectivity, and retro-inspired design into one compact device. If you’re a retro gaming enthusiast or looking for a unique gift, this console is a must-have.

Excellent alternative to tablet/WiFi games. This “Game Boy” style device exceeded my expectations with tons of fun preloaded games. The screen quality is high and the battery life is surprising. Big hit for kids and big kids too!

I was not sure what to expect from a low priced no name handheld game system claiming to have 18,000 (yes eighteen thousand) games pre-loaded on it.
What I got was what seems to me a well made game system that works fairly well. The screen resolution is good but not great. The controls are good and the games are mostly playable. I can’t say there are 18,000 games but their just may be. There are so many it is hard to pick one to try. Many are duplicates and many or very low resolution games but some are very good and fun to play. You could spend weeks just trying different games. I had never heard of most of the games but I was not in to these types of games back when they were popular. There are also many name brand games we all know of. I paid $41 for this system and it is well worth it.

DO NOT BUY.
I wanted to come here today and give a good review. Because other then the short, 3 hour, battery life. I was initially pretty happy with it. It does have all the GBC/A pokemon games, which is the only reason I wanted it. I received it saturday afternoon. Played for 3 hours. Went to play today, sunday, and it’s a brick.
1) it feels cheap. This thing has no weight to it. It literally feels like it came out of a happy meal.
2) after 3 hours of play, the battery died. I charged it over night. Went to play today and it turns off immediately after loading the main menu.
3) it does NOT come with an SD card like it shows in the pic. You cannot save. My plan was to play my lil pokemon game and just throw it on charge until I get an SD card. Nope. Cant do that.
I am so glad I bought 3. I bought 2 as gifts. 1 for myself. Why am I glad I bought 3? Because if I didnt also buy myself one I wouldnt know what garbage I was about to give as christmas gifts.
So, these are on their way back. Return.
And I will be getting my $150 back and reconsidering christmas.
Thanks for nothing.
DO NOT BUY. DO NOT BUY. DO NOT BUY.

I absolutely love this R36T retro gaming console, and my kids love it just as much. We play it almost every day, and it has become a fun way for us to spend time together. The console is very easy to use, so even my kids can turn it on and start playing without help. The screen is clear and bright, and the classic CRT-style look makes the games feel more fun and nostalgic. With over 18,000 games included, there is always something new to try, and everyone finds their favorites. The controls are comfortable and respond well, even during fast games. The battery lasts long enough for daily play without needing constant charging. I also like that it feels sturdy and comes with a carrying case to keep it safe. Overall, this is an excellent retro console for families who want simple, enjoyable gaming together.
