  1. Emily

My daughter absolutely loves this! The variety of games on there is certainly extensive and with a sense of nostalgia. It’s easy enough to turn on/off as well asto navigate through the available games. The buttons are responsive and the battery lasts for a number of hours. This has provided many many hours of travel fun in the car. Definite recommend!

  2. Brittany Sparks

Such a cool little game system! I got it for my 5 year old and he loves it. It also has a lot of old school games just switched up a little!

  3. Spyder1384

Coming from an Anbernic and Retroid Pocket, honestly I had to say I was a little disappointed. But why 4 stars you say? Well, the device does exactly what is stated in the description; it is a fun little device with 168 “classic” games on there. If you ever owned a Gameboy, you know what kinda games you have here. They’re all inspired by old retro games from your youth, but nothing AAA here. I tried a few of the games and I gotta say, they were pretty fun. Games played without any noticeable lag and looked as great as can be. The buttons are all very tactile and responsive, and the screen was clear with good viewing angles all the way to the side. The screen is very vibrant with the colors, and the menu looked nice although I wish it was customizable. It charges via micro usb which certainly makes the device a bit “retro,” usb-c would’ve made it more portable and versatile. Build quality is very good, it’s made of durable plastic and I’m sure you can throw this across a room and it’ll keep working. Audio is changed by a dial, and the sound comes out nice a clear. The reason I docked a star is the lack of customizability, I would’ve loved the option to put in my own games. Overall, I think this is a device kids would love, if they’re into these old style of games. In this age of smartphones and Minecraft and Genshin Impact, I’d be hard pressed to find a kid who likes the oldies, but if you can, this device is great value and would be perfect.

For fans of 8-bit games, this portable game console offers a few hours of play on one charge and 168 games. I’m not sure I’d call them classic since I did not recognize most of them. Some of the games are really poor, and if you expect REAL classics like Q*Bert, Zaxxon, or Nintendo games, look elsewhere. There are quite a few almost-duplicates, and many really lame games. Then again, the screen is good and it can keep kids entertained for a short while.
Expect the same reaction you got when they discover your walkman and cassette tapes in the basement and you explain to them how it works. It’s inexpensive, and you get your money’s worth.

  5. BoFiS

For this price, this is a great, affordable kids’ gift that does not require setting up beyond charging it via MicroUSB. That’s one negative, while the photos in the listing say USB-C, it’s actually MicroUSB to charge. Screen is bright and games are all fun knockoffs of old 8-bit classics. Simple interface and easy controls. You can play a lot of games for your money, just know that none are actually old, just retro themed. The unit was the pink color shown, though it has a few color options. The names of all the games are silly and fun to try to figure out what game it’s going to be. The menu is easy to operate and all games perform well.

  6. Stephy Virgos

This little JJFUN portable game console is such a cool device! It instantly brought me back to my childhood with all the classic games I used to love. The 3.2″ screen is clear and bright, and the controls are super easy to use—perfect for both kids and adults. It’s lightweight, rechargeable, and fits right in your hand, making it great for travel or long car rides.
What I love most is that it doesn’t need WiFi, so it’s pure old-school gaming fun without any distractions. The 168 built-in games offer hours of entertainment, from simple puzzles to action-packed classics. You can even plug it into the TV for a full nostalgic experience!
It’s also an awesome gift idea for birthdays or holidays—kids love it, and adults can’t help but smile when they see those familiar retro games. Overall, this console is fun, affordable, and a perfect mix of nostalgia and convenience.

  7. BoFiS

I got the JJFUN handheld for my son and he’s been hooked since day one. The 3.2″ screen is bright and clear, and the buttons are easy for small hands to press. It comes loaded with 168 retro games, which kept him entertained for hours without needing WiFi or downloads. Setup was easy, just charge it and it’s ready to go. It even plugs into the TV, which was a cool surprise and made it feel like a real console. The battery lasts a good while and recharges fast.

  8. The Mundivagant Bookery

This portable game console was fantastic on a recent family trip. The fact that the JJFUN Portable Game Console has 168 Built-in Classic Games, is rechargeable, and doesn’t need WiFi makes it a perfect activity to bring. My kids took turns playing games on it while we were driving in the car and didn’t have access to the internet. One of their favorite games featured a panda that jumped across platforms and defeated enemies. Another of their favorite games required them to help their character cross avenues of transportation without getting hit by obstacles. It felt like a popular handheld gaming device that I remember from my childhood a long time ago. They found it entertaining enough not to get terribly bored when we were passing through very flat landscapes, but it didn’t stop them from setting it down to see amazing sights while we traveled.

The downside was that the game list to choose from isn’t intuitively easy to navigate. You can always find something to play, but it might not be exactly what you are looking for. This didn’t bother my kids too much, but it is something that caused occasional frustration and annoyance.

I will definitely be bringing it as a regular part of our travel supplies.
